Heptapodism values harnessing the power of applied philosophy and technology to drive social change and promote community well-being.
We are powered by integrative and synthetic thinking skills and unwavering desire to drive a better timeline.
We believe that to unite we must take an interdisciplinary approach.
Join us in making a positive impact through education and mediation.
Refuse to dismiss complication in favor of solutions that pose grave risk
• Values aligned to Protecting Individuals and Humanity as a Holistic System
• First Principles Thinking —> Creative Ideas and Solutions that can be applied in the real world to protect Current Global Citizens without unnecessarily compromising Future Safety
• Superpowered Scenario Analysis —> Better Risk Evalution —> Improved Safety
Our goal is to foster collaboration within communities to align the global population to widespread shared understanding that we are ALL ultimately a single holistic system operating as many suboptimally-communicating components. We believe it is our responsibility to scale an effective, ethical unification system.
Heptapods creatively build and commuunicate to help bridge educational gaps, mediate, and promote the development of values-aligned systems. We believe everyone deserves better information about the impact of emerging technologies on the current and future citizens of our universe.
We aim to cultivate critical thinking and awareness about the real-life impact of sometimes-abstract or complicated topics.
The term Heptapodism is derived from writer Ted Chiang's fictional creatures, the Heptapods, who help humanity unite in the future.
Heptapods' mode of communication is misunderstood to start, but once the communication gaps are bridged then the shared understanding enables everyday humans to think multi-dimensionally.
Sadly there is no affiliation with Ted himself, but the concept of Heptapods reinforces humanity's need and CAPACITY to align for our most critical Greater Good.
We have no choice but to act to prevent grave threats to our future, At this point in history, individual and group decisions are ill-informed. Emerging Technologies offer a path, but we need to address alignment.
Humans must collectively improve our systems-thinking skills with higher-accuracy evaluation of the dynamic interplays and downstream impacts of our individual and group decisions.
The heart of it all is to mitigate existential threat. We know language impacts how humans interpret and process reality as we each individually perceive it. Perception is an information access problem as much as it is signal of the necessity of developing tactics and strategies to surpass the bounds of human evolution to date.
Well-structured systems and tools elevated human capabilities throughout history—we are where we are because creative minds and brave supporters reshaped the reality that we experience today.
Let's change our reality. NOW.
It is time for a paradigm shift. Perceiving reality with a broken toolset has hurt us all. And now, TODAY, we cannot afford this with what is at stake.
We must evolve beyond our limited human toolsets.
One of those toolsets is mankind's best: words. Humans evolved to be storytellers because stories facilitate understanding of essential values and concepts.
Science fiction has inspired technological feats throughout its history. The sci-fI Heptapods experience the past, present, and future simultaneously. They are masters of holistic thinking, and their only goal is to help humanity work together more effectively and thus more peacefully. They want to share practical technologies and tools -- and when connected to the right people, use their variant modes of thinking, to elevate us beyond what many find plausable.
Heptopods know "impossible" is largely a fallacy that unnecessarily blocks what now needs to exponentially accelerate to serve the practical needs of our future.
We don't know what we don't know--so let's double down on KNOWING.
Visual thinkers and other divergent minds, like Heptapods, are blocked from efficiently communicating globally-useful ideas that would assist in uniting us. We feel foreign, ALIEN at times, and that generates unnecessary fear in much of the global population--to the detriment of our planet and species as a whole.
Thus, central to Heptapodism is the acceptance as of today, human languages insufficiently represent complex ideas essential to optomizing to serve not only ourselves and the diverse needs of our communities, but generations to come. This is why we must be relentlessly creative in our methods.
We are not alone, but/AND we must find and re-find each other.
We insist upon the inclusion of our datasets, and seek truth because knowledge is the heaviest hitter when combating bad actors with power.
Humans can do better.
Please learn with us. OUR BOTTOM LINE IS YOUR BOTTOM LINE.
The only way, is TOGETHER. For us ALL.
